Giclée Prints Also known as Iris prints, giclée prints are the fruit of an extraordinary technology that captures the color, depth, and texture of original artworks using high definition digital cameras or scanners, large scale inkjet printers, archival inks and paper. Zen has his original watercolor works photographed or scanned, depending on the original sizes of the images. He then personally masters the high-resolution digital files to match his vibrant original watercolor works, before printing the final giclées at his studio. Because of their exceptional quality, many museums now exhibit giclée prints in place of the original artworks. The care for giclée prints is the same as for original watercolor paintings. |
